📋 Session Abstract

The large-scale, long-distance transmission of clean energy in western regions is a core requirement for building a novel power system. Represented by the Yarlung Zangbo River downstream hydropower project, its large-capacity power transmission urgently requires a synergistic scheme of AC GIL inside stations and DC GIL outside stations. However, the extremely complex geographical environments and severe operating conditions pose extreme challenges to the reliability of the aforementioned AC and DC GIL equipment.

This session focuses on "Key Technologies for Reliability Improvement of AC and DC GIL Equipment", exploring the latest progress in basic theories, equipment development, and intelligent operation and maintenance to provide technical support for engineering applications. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • 1) Performance regulation and formulation of AC/DC GIL insulating materials
  • 2) Gas-solid insulation characteristics and failure mechanisms of AC/DC GIL
  • 3) Insulation structure design and optimization of AC/DC GIL
  • 4) Manufacturing processes and testing technologies of AC/DC GIL
  • 5) Condition monitoring and O&M technologies of AC/DC GIL
  • 6) Reliability improvement of key components such as AC/DC disconnectors and bushings
